It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mayola Fern Jones of Satanta, Kansas, born in Boise City, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Alfred Stephenson and Mary Rosella Thompson Stephenson; her husband Orval James; her daughter Brenda Sue Hockett; and her brothers, Max and George Stephenson.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Randy Jones (Rose) of Colorado Springs, CO and James Jones (Rhonda) of Ulysses, KS.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In honor of Mayola's life and her legacy of love and kindness, donations can be made to the Pleasant Prairie Church of God or the American Legion in Satanta.
