He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Betty Mast and Leonard Coates; and his great-grandparents, Fred, Marge Wachs, Robert, Betty Hammer, Johnny, Lucille Hallmark and Nellie Coates.

He is survived by: his parents, Kenyon Coates (Shellie Becker) of Holcomb and Michelle Hammer (John Whitehead) of Satanta; his siblings, Katie Koch (Peter Jones) of Wichita, Colton Koch (Kristen) of Mankato, Nicole Coates of Manhattan, Chris Whitehead (Megan) of Kansas City, Codey Whitehead (Paige) of Joplin and Isaiah Whitehead of Joplin, Missouri; and his grandparents, Chris and Ruth Hammer of Sublette. He is also survived by his parents daily, spent time with his siblings.
