He is survived by: his parents, Larry Miller and Bonnie Miller (Siegfried); his wife Lynn Miller (Simmons) of Satanta; his stepparents, Peggy Miller of Peoria, Illinois and Dale Baughman of Kismet; his children, Austin Miller (Taylor) of Germantown Hills, Brittney Tomic (Mark) of Wheeling and Tiffany Hutton (David Barr) of Pekin, Illinois; his grandchildren, Adeline Miller, Brooks Tomic, Dante, Nami and Renton Barr; his sisters, Shelly Kirby (Mike) of Kismet and Amy Turner (Dusty) of Edmund, Oklahoma; his parents-in-law, Ronny and Doris Simmons of Bluff City, Illinois; and his sister-in-law Rhonda Ferree (Mark) of Havana, Illinois. He is also survived by one niece; and three nephews.

“I had the privilege of working with Brett at the feedlot for a couple weeks. I was a new intern away from home and he made me feel so welcomed. I will forever cherish our many conversations we had sitting in the feed mill talking about horses. Every morning he would walk into work with a friendly good morning and always made you feel like a friend to him. He will be so missed. Sending lots of prayers and peace to your family at this time.”
