It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Young of Satanta, Kansas, born in Ford, Kansas, who passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Nile and Grace Gertrude Unger (Tucker). She is survived by: her daughter Gaila Jo Ross (Perry) of Satanta, KS; her sisters, Nilene Cunningham of Liberal, KS., Jennie Harrison of Satanta, Donna Connor of Satanta and Georgia Lynn Moree of Satanta; her husband Gale V. Young; her children, Scott Young and Sherri Kohman; and her siblings, Raymond Gerald Unger, Polly Ellen Unger, Mary McMinn and Norma Gross. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established for Happy Agers Senior Center or Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City, in care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 747, Satanta, Kansas 67870.
