It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Prentice Knox in Salina, Kansas, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice Blaine Knox and Kathleen Knox (Campbell); his wife Patricia Lindsay; and his brother Patrick. He is survived by: his children, Shaun Havard (Patrick) of Nevada City, CA, Jeffrey Knox (Paula) of Salina, Sandra Knox (Hugh Martin) of Albuquerque, NM and John Knox (Juliet) of Denver, CO.; his grandchildren, Will Havard (Shawn Szurley), Mara Havard, Scott Knox, Blaine Knox (Logan Hubbard), Craig Knox, Logan Knox (Miranda) and Olivia Magera (Joe); and his great grandchildren, Colby, Grant Havard and Laurel Knox.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (308 S 8th St, Salina, KS 67401).
Bill was an ardent supporter of First Tee, Salina Greater Community Foundation, the Salina YMCA, the Salina Presbyterian Manor, University of Oklahoma, United Way, and numerous other charities.
