He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Stenzel and Dolly Stenzel; and his stepmother Patricia Long Stenzel. He is survived by: his former wife Yan Mei Shi; his husband Robert Keck; his granddaughters, Amara and Aspen; and his siblings, Steven Stenzel (Bonnie) of Oklahoma, Samuel Stenzel (Wendy) of California and Andie DeJarnette Boyce (Scott).
