With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert William Mermis of Salina, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 4, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Violet Mermis; his parents, John A. Mermis and Anna Kisner Mermis; and his siblings, Clarence Mermis, Irene Berens and Celesta Von Feldt.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Mermis of Watauga, Greg Mermis of Kansas City, Missouri, Patricia Bluhm of Austin and Marjorie Horton of Derby, Kansas; his siblings, John Mermis of Saratoga, California, Remigia Quint of Grand Junction and Joan Von Feldt of Victoria, Kansas.; and his grandchildren, Becky Quigley of Great Bend, Chris Vroom of Decatur, Katie Horton of Wichita, Beth Horton of Wichita, Elke Mermis of Evergreen and Shae Mermis of Brooklyn. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (230 E Cloud St, Salina, KS 67401). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (2078 E Iron Ave, Salina, KS 67401).
