She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl M. Renken and G. Judy Renken (Kruse); her brother Robert E. Renken; her daughter Cheri L Mai; and her sisters-in-law, Julia Benson (Floyd) and Yevonne Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, David A. Newsome (Deborah Douglas) of Canada and Crystal H. Cason (Allen) of New York City; and her sisters, Debra Hemmy of Lawrence and Beverly L. Payne of Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Faith Baptist Church (639 Max Ave, Salina, KS 67401). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Gypsum Hill Cemetery (2020 E Iron Ave, Salina, KS 67401).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
