With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Wright of Salina, Kansas, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ellen Wright to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Britton and Leona Britton (McKenna); her brother Ronald Britton; and her in-laws, Harold, Ileen Wright, Darrel Barnett, Kay Brown, Larry Gallentine, Judy Wright and Sam Wright.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Wright; her sons, Ren Wright (Kristin Scholl) of Oak Grove, MO and Russell Wright (Greg Zouzalik) of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Caroline Harmon (Lou) of Pumas Lake, CA, Jameson Wright (Megan) of Austin, TX, Allison Jett (Austin) of Blue Springs, MO and Mackenzie Bowman (Joe) of Marshall, MO; her stepgrandchildren, Tayler Scholl, Alyssa Monterrosa (Jose) and Steven Scholl; her great grandchildren, Raynor Harmon, Sawyer Wright, Revan, Ryder, Malak Jett and JJ Bowman; her siblings, Richard Britton (Catherine), Francis Britton (Kathy), Alice Barnett, Liz Posson (Bud), Frank Brown, Steve Wright and Fay Gallentine; and her aunt Leota McKenna. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church (230 E Cloud St, Salina, KS 67401).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Salina Regional Health Foundation to support the Tammy Walker Cancer Center (http://www.srhealthfoundation.com.) or to a charity of your choice.
