She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Kubitschek and Victoria Kubitschek (Gehr); her husband Russel Ashenfelter; her brother Raphael; her sister-in-law Leilla Kubitschek; her sister Helen; and her brothers-in-law, Delmar Samsel and Bob Branner.
She is survived by: her daughter Becky (Melvin Augustine) of Salina; her grandsons, Andrew Augustine (Jackie) of Topeka, KS and Adam Augustine (Lisa) of Bartlesville; her great grandchildren, Logan of Bartlesville and Aubree Augustine of Bartlesville; her sisters-in-law, Joan "Kay" Coffman (John) of Timberville and Jean "Fay" Branner of Timberville; and her nieces and nephews, Vicki LaHay (David) of Springfield, Missouri, Kay Williams (Ron) of Bluffton, Kathy Fitzpatrick (Bob) of Overland Park, Michele Minnick (Richard) of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Joni Biller (Tony) of Timberville, Virginia, Beth Branner-Gore (Will) of Charlottesville, Virginia, Tom Samsel (Joyce) of Springfield, Missouri and Dr. Kenneth Kubitschek (Janice) of Asheville. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Salina Presbyterian Manor (2601 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401).
Memorials in memory of Marty can be made to the Salina Presbyterian Manor Employee Christmas Fund, the SPM Good Samaritan Fund, or the Audubon of Kansas (Dr. Jackie Augustine, Executive Director).
