He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lutgen and Della Lutgen (Ottley); his siblings, Charlene Foster (Charles) and Mardella Dearing (Don); and his son Cletus Lutgen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his sons, Neil Lutgen (Regina) of Galva, KS and Randy Lutgen (Jana) of McPherson, KS.; his siblings, Lois Churchill (CT), Loretta Kovar (Ray) of KS, Mary Jane (Jim) and Spencer (IA); and his grandchildren, Cory Lutgen (Courtney) of KS, Brandon Lutgen (Taylor) of KS, Jacob Lutgen (KS) and Jessica Lutgen (KS).
A rosary will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (230 E Cloud St, Salina, KS 67401). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at the Kirwin Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to either St. Mary's Catholic Church in Salina or to Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, KS.
