He was predeceased by: his parents, John Krug and Marie Krug (Dietz); his siblings, Ronald Krug and Shirley Evans; and his nephew Kody.
He is survived by: his wife Lila Gilkerson; and his sons, Robert of Clifton, KS, Michael (Laura) of Buckeye, AZ and Brian (Kelly) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home (217 Freeman Ave, Oakley, KS 67748). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (206 E 7th St, Oakley, KS 67748). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Lutheran Church (111 W Magnolia Rd, Salina, KS 67401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakley FFA chapter or the Wayne Krug Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, PO Box 221, Oakley, KS 67748.
