He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen McWhorter and Oscarine McWhorter; and his siblings, Owen, Charlie, Jake and Patty.
He is survived by: his wife Bernie; his siblings, Dave, Jim McWhorter, Sandy Smith, Libby McWhorter-Ahrens and Ruth Bartuska; and his sister-in-law Helen Corby.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A vigil service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church (230 E Cloud St, Salina, KS 67401). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (3350 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401).
