He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jay and Nadine Gilbert Fry; his wife Rosalyn "Kay" Heck; his adoptive son Thomas Eugene Fry; and his siblings-in-law, Art Otterman and Shirley Fry.
He is survived by: his former wife Judy Stratton; his children, William and Jodie; and his siblings, Uveda Otterman of Basehor, KS, Marjorie Talkin (Larry) of Kansas City, KS, Barbara Cranor (Ron) of Basehor, KS, Melvin Fry of Pittsburg, KS and Donald Fry of Erie, KS.
