It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Coomes of Saint Paul, Kansas, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward C. LaForge and Gertrude LaForge (Diskin); her husband Darold; and her siblings, Bernard, Pat LaForge, Roberta Padgett, Marilyn Vitt and Phyllis McAtee.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Coomes (Jill) of St. Paul, Janet Coomes of San Marcos, Donna Scallions of Girard, Deborah Mann (Mike) of St. Paul and Darold P. Coomes (Kerrie) of Erie, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Mark Coomes (Gena), Coral Burns (Justin), Robyn Beard (Brian), Craig Coomes (Molly), Andrea Bishop, Trey Scallions, Trenton Jarboe (Lesle), Chase Coomes and Makenzie Coomes; and her brothers, Bill LaForge of Independence and Jack LaForge of Pittsburg, Kansas..
