He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer D. Wood and Cathyrene Wood (Salser); and his siblings, Walter, Norman and Darlene Mathes.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Peterson; and his children, Gregory K. Wood (Denise), Michael K. Wood (Lori) and Shelly L. Doll (Eric). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minnis Chapel, Inc.- St. John (526 E 4th Ave, St John, KS 67576). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trousdale Community Church (2708 Cooper Ave, Haviland, KS 67059).
