He was predeceased by: his parents, P. H. Sawyer and Ellener Mary Sawyer (Reddick); his former wife Peggy A. Sawyer; his daughter Katherine Sawyer; and his wife Betty Jean Clark.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Dan Clothier (Kristin) of Leawood, David Clothier (Marti) of Wichita and Gary Clothier (Julie) of San Jose, California..
