We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2024, at the age of 86, James Walter Van Peyma of Sabetha, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy James leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Peyma and Margie Van Peyma (Bates); his uncle Floyd; his aunt Myrtle Haxton; his wife Beverly Van Peyma; and his daughter Brenda Van Peyma.
He is survived by: his daughter Shari Van Peyma of Sabetha; and his friend Scott Harvey of Fairview.
The lying in state will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Popkess Mortuary (823 Virginia St, Sabetha, KS 66534). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Sabetha Cemetery.
