He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jackson Laney and Lottie Jane Laney (Fry); and his siblings, James Laney, Elwood Laney, Nancy Reason, Delores Whitehead and Gene Laney.
He is survived by: his wife Jeraldine Laney; his children, Deborah O'Neil (Patrick), James Cole (Angel), Douglas Laney (Shirley), Donald Jeffrey Laney (Connie) and Sandy Schuetz (Sean); and his brother David Laney. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
