We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2024, at the age of 87, Dolores Jean Althouse in Sabetha, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Dolores Jean may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Glenn and Hazel Parker Glenn; her husband Frank Althouse; and her brothers, Paul and Robert Glenn.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Remmers (Steve) of Olathe, Kansas and Doug Althouse (Carrie) of Cimarron, Kansas; and her brother Allen Glenn of Seattle, Washington.. She is also survived by her three grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Popkess Mortuary (823 Virginia St, Sabetha, KS 66534). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at the Sabetha Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Woodlawn Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Kansas, sent in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia Street, Sabetha, Kansas 66534.
