Barbara Ann Gudenkauf Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Gudenkauf of Sabetha, Kansas, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Barbara Dechand (Artzer); her husband Bob; her siblings, Mildred Collard, Albert Dechand, Ralph Dechand, Rosie Hewitt and Mary Kirkwood; and her great grandchild Noah Gudenkauf.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Gudenkauf (Jason Bath) of Kansas City, Doug Gudenkauf (Jana) of Wellington, Darin Gudenkauf (Amanda) of Tennessee, Lesa Duryea (Greg) of Morrill, Lori Gruber (Merlin) of Morrill, Linda Baumgartner (Chris) of Sabetha and Lynette VanDonselaar (Doug) of New Sharon, Iowa; and her sister Theresa Desch of Topeka, Kansas. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren plus another great-granddaughter.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (123 Main St, Sabetha, KS 66534). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1031 S 12th St, Sabetha, KS 66534). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (123 Main St, Sabetha, KS 66534). A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery (411 Pioneer St, Seneca, KS 66538).
