He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhea Moore and Thelma Doris Somers (Davis); and his sisters, Lola Heath and Marilyn Barrett. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jo Brooks; his children, Debra Chidester (Dale) of Leoti, Kim Knipple (Charlie) of Houston, Texas, Gaylen Somers (Julie) of Rigby and Bret Somers (Julieta) of Natoma, Kansas; and his sisters, Monica Somers of Russell and Joyce Barnes of Warrensburg, Missouri. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
A Memorial has been established with Waldo Senior Center.
