It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine E. Scheck of Russell, Kansas, born in Arma, Kansas, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wyant and Eulett Wyant (Nahon); her husband Melvin J. Scheck; and her son Charles A. Scheck. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth J. Scheck (Stephanie) of Russell and Christopher J. Scheck of Topeka, Kansas; and her sisters, Freda Taylor of El Dorado, Beverly LaFlair (Howard) of Arizona and Paula Crites of Ellsworth, Kansas. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Chursh and sent in care of the mortuary.
