She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Bien and Helen Bien (Slater); her husband Paul; her siblings, Louise Simmon, Barbara Keesey, Nellie Pearl Bien, Fred Bien, George Bien, Glen Bien and Ralph Bein; her grandchildren, Sean Banks and Sierra Banks; and her great grandchild Carter Leones.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Kreutzer (Allen) of Lawrence, Patricia Mead (Mark) of Russell, Phyllis Billinger (Jeff) of Russell, Carol Pummell (James) of Sabina, Ohio, Tim Banks of Russell, Robert Banks of Hays, David Banks (Mel) of Russell, Duane Banks (Kathleen) of Russell and Doug Banks (Michelle) of Russell, Kansas. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial has been established with St. Mary's Catholic Church.
