He was predeceased by: his parents, James Farrell and Eunice Farrell (Herbert); and his sister Anna Riemann. He is survived by: his wife Laureen Goetz; his children, Joel Farrell (Janet) of Boston, Massachusetts and Lynn Farrell of Kansas City, Kansas; his brothers, Joe Farrell (Ellen) of Hill City, Bob Farrell (Donna) of Hill City and Larry Farrell (Anita) of Olpie, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Javian Farrell.

Memorials may be given to the Russell Rotary Club and sent in care of the mortuary.
