He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore A. Benander and Isabelle Ann Benander (Ladner); his wife Ruth Ann Pierce; his son Michael E. Benander; and his brother Larry R. Benander.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly K. Bickery (Bill) of Bloomington, Debra S. Freeman of Tool, Laura Benander of Arizona and Jimmie Dean Furst (Stella) of Baytown; and his sister Darlene Smith of Hays, Kansas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary.
