He was predeceased by: his parents, Aegedius Meis and Celestina Meis (Karlin); his children, Randy and Shelley; his brother Ken Meis (Dolly Meis); and his great grandchild Randi Rene Casper.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Meis of Russell and Tessa Meis (Joe Ernst) of Wilson; and his siblings, Darlene Booth (Ronnie Booth) of Larned, Dan Meis of Yuma and Fran Amidon (Mike Amidon) of Junction City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
