Keil (Peters); his former wife Peggy Eulert; his wife Debbie LaBarge; his sons, David Keil of Kansas City, Drew Keil of Overland Park and Owen Keil of Kansas City, Missouri; his stepchildren, Weston Schurz, Tessie Foltz and Jevon Hejny; and his siblings, Dale Keil and Sheila Keil of Russell. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren.
