She was predeceased by: her parents, Ola David and Edith C. Mishler (Barker); and her siblings, Norma Ruark, Julia Manning, Alice Dennis, Zita Mallory, Dale and Charles Mishler.

She is survived by: her husband Gary Joe Merritt; her children, Angie R. Peeler (Darren) of Russell and Mitch Bauer (Kelli) of Coffeyville, Kansas; her grandchildren, Dylan Peeler of Wichita, Megan Peeler of Russell, Kansas and Charlee Peeler of Russell, Kansas; and her siblings, June Richardson of Haysville, Barbara McNickle (Larry) of Cherryvale and Chester Mishler of Ashland, Kansas..

Memorials may be given to the Russell Senior Center and sent in care of the mortuary.
