She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey E. Harper and Marie Rose Harper (L'Ecuyer); and her husband J. E. Hamel (Ernie). She is survived by: her children, Lynette Gross (Jeff) of Lincoln County, Stan Hamel (Pam) of Leavenworth, Barb Hake (Brian) of Omaha, Mark Hamel (Melanie) of Russell, Brian Hamel (Lisa) of Bunker Hill, Brad Hamel of Papillion and Annette Heald (Tracy) of Omaha, Nebraska; and her siblings, Rex Harper (Jolene) of Concordia, Kansas and Carolyn Nickerson (Duane) of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery and sent in care of the mortuary.
