Elmer touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Elmer may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elmer touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Marvin and Ruby Matkins (Cranford); his children, Dale Bentley, Shelia Cash, Katrina Harris (Kenneth) and Carrie Hendrickson (Terry); and his siblings, Donald Matkins (Kathy) and Georgia Nelson. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
