She was predeceased by: her husband Merton Dreve Murphy; and her brother Charles Hillis. She is survived by: her children, Marcia Hayes (Craig), Marilyn Petty (Joe), Mary Martin (Buddy), Michael Murphy and Rose Hill; her grandchildren, Casey Hayes (Ashley), Maddison Hayes, Jennifer Helsel (Jamie), Jeremy Petty (Brooke), Tiffany Mekkaoui (Sharif), Thane Martin and Matt Murphy (Emily); her sister Mary Kay Shook; and her sister-in-law Virginia Murphy. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established with Rose Hill Friends Church, 14062 SW 180th St, Rose Hill, KS 67133.
