She is survived by: her mother Margaret Toombs (Wolf); her husband David Simmons of Rose Hill, KS; her children, Megan McMilin (Sam), Molly Simmons and Jacob Simmons (Becky); her siblings, Jon Toombs (Bonnie), Jan Wesley (Dave) and Jeff Toombs; her mother-in-law Marjorie Simmons; and her brothers-in-law, Brian Simmons (Rhonda) and Greg Simmons (Karen). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Rose Hill Friends Church (P.O. Box 431 Rose Hill, KS 67133).
