It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Clifford Pickens of Rose Hill, Kansas, born in Doniphan, Missouri, who passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman and Buelah; his daughter Susan Elsen; and his siblings, William, Leroy, Billy, Wilfred, Charles Pickens, Matha Tiemeyer and Shirley Zwierzynski.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Pickens; his son David Pickens (Julee Cathcard); and his siblings, Herman Pickens, Jr., Larry Pickens (Betty), Mary Lou Morris and Janice Thacker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
