It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wayne Prewitt of Rose Hill, Kansas, born in El Dorado, Kansas, who passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Prewitt and Phyllis Prewitt (Knox); and his sister Teresa Yount. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Prewitt; his sister Mary Orr (Bill); his stepchildren, Mandi Jakubowski, Carley Harrelson and Denver Harrelson; his niece Beth Gonzalez; his nephews, Landon Gray, Greg Yount and Tyler Orr; and his pets, Layla and Shadow. He is also survived by five step granddaughters; two step grandsons.

Memorial donations in Gary's name can be made to the Kidney Foundation, Masonic Lodge Joppa #223, or the Teresa Yount Scholarship fund at Emporia State University.
