He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clifford William Doherty and Mildred Rossman Doherty; his wife Emilia Frances Elliott; his daughters, Debora Diana Saulmon (Gene) of Olathe, Kansas, Dawn Darlene Claussen (John) of Rensselaer and Dolores Dale Doherty (Carol) of Walkersville, Maryland.; his sister-in-law Claudine Ann Doherty (late Gerald) of Pineville; and his grandchildren, Chad Christopher Claussen (Jennifer) of West Lafayette, Indiana, Ashley Diane Mowry (Brett) of Olathe Kansas, Andrew Joseph Smith (Jennifer) of Mt. Airy and Cameron Charles Claussen (Jessica) of Chandler, Arizona.. He was also cherished by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church 13145 S Blackbob Road Olathe, KS 66062.
