He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth E. DeWald and Deloris E. DeWald; his wife Ruthie DeWald; his siblings, Beverley DeWald, Bill DeWald and Marlene Everett; his nephews, Michael Milton and Billy DeWald; his son-in-law Jim Worley; his brothers-in-law, Ron Milton and John Howard; and his great grandchild Simon Turner.
He is survived by: his children, Roxie Kelly (Kevin), Janet Worley, Kenna Howell (John) and Dan DeWald (Marylou); his grandsons, John Howell, Kellen Howell, Scott Kelly, Kyle Kneller and Jake Bove; and his sisters, Barbara Milton, Cheryl Poole and June Howard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Richmond Care Center or Prairie Wind Hospice c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067, both giving excellent care to Pete and Ruthie over the past few years.
