She is survived by: her children, Eric Spannenberg (Rhonda) of Taos and Nancy Phillips (Michael) of Groveton; her grandchildren, Joseph Breen, Patrick Breen and Grace Phillips; her stepgrandchild Dru Combs; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Vincent and Anna Combs; and her sister Geraldine Beames of Memphis, Tennessee. She is also survived by other relatives, and friends.

“Dear spannenberg family, on behalf of the ho and le family, i would like to extend our deepest condolences to your entire family. We are saddened by the passing of our dear friend and sponsor, wynona spannenberg. When we came to the united states as immigrants in 1975, we had little to no money and spoke no english but with the grace of god and wynona's help, we were able to find a home in belleville, ks. Because of this act of love, we are eternally grateful for wynona and her family.”
