He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Horn and Grace Van Horn (Young); his former wife Zelma Van Horn; and his siblings, Max Van Horn and Sara Jean Currier.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra White of Rantoul, Kansas; his children, Jeffery Van Horn (Robbyn) of Baldwin City, Gene Van Horn (Sharon) of Wellsville, Ted Van Horn (Kris) of Garfield, Kansas and Pam Van Horn of Manhattan; and his stepdaughters, Rachelle Chase (Tim) of Osawatomie and Debbie Holstine (Danny) of Richmond, Kansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
