He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Patterson and Frances Eslinger Patterson; his brother Guy Patterson; and his grandson Adam Kleitz. He is survived by: his wife Rose Rothwell; his siblings, Shirley Douglas of Gainsville, GA, Susie Wiley and Tom Patterson (Caroline); and his children, Jim of Lane, KS, Ed, John, Becky Savage (James), Celeste Patterson, Julie Feldman (Mark), Paola and Janie Cannon (Jimmy). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
