He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Ummel and Mildred Ummel (Green); his brothers, Robert and Ronald; and his son Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou of Ransom; his children, Kelle Schniepp of Ransom, Mark Ummel (Michelle) of Burlingame and Jeb Ummel of Overland Park, Kansas; his grandchildren, Garrett, Kelsee, Jenna and Harrison; and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Jordis, Adalyn, Audrina, Hailey and Dawn. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
