He was predeceased by: his daughter Linda Sleichter; his grandson Shaon Sleichter; his parents, Louie and Anna; and his siblings, Jess, Bob, Frida, Mildred and Cleo.
He is survived by: his wife Ada; his son Donald Kiehl of Pomona; and his sister Ruby Duncan of Gardner. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
