He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sherman and Mary Jane Reed (Jameson); his wife Leona Louise Brooks; his daughter Gayla Berens; and his siblings, Kyle, Lloyd, Ray, Elbert, Millard, John, Faye Kasza and Edna Wertz.
He is survived by: his children, Ross Reed (Bridget) of Topeka, IN, Lee Reed (Connie) of Quinter, KS, Kathy Barker of Knoxville, TN and Nancy Stoltzfus (Tom) of Livermore, CO; and his siblings, Oty Reed (Juanita) of Dallas Center, IA and Ruth Haldeman (Galen) of Dallas Center, IA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
