It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Zimmerman (Quinter, Kansas), born in Grinnell, Kansas, who passed away on December 12, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gael Beougher and Mary Beougher; her husband Fabian Zimmerman; her brother Virgil Beougher; and her son-in-law Ed Albin.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Zimmerman of Quinter, KS, Steven Zimmerman (Robin) of Cheney, KS, Connie Albin of Quinter, KS, Betty Pelzel (Jerry) of Salina, KS, Brenda Ikenberry of St. Louis, MO, JoAnn Williams (Duane) of Topeka, KS and Lois Mans (Greg) of St. Louis, MO; and her siblings, Donna Spath (Chuck) of Grand Junction, CO, Ken Beougher of Bird City, KS, John Beougher (Mary) of Pierre, SD and Max Beougher (Dee) of Denver, CO.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gove County Medical Center Long-Term Care Facility in Quinter Kansas, the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery in WaKeeney, Kansas, or masses in her honor at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park, Kansas.
