He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Chester Sparks and Wilma Edra McDonald Sparks; his stepmother Agatha Mae Sparks; and his brother Riley Gene Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Ann Fast; his friend Sparky; his siblings, Elaine Bumgardner of Udall, Kansas, Larry Sparks (Barbara) of Milwaukie, Oregon, Doug Flin (Judy) of Denver, Colorado, Bonnie Beckman of Marysville, Kansas and Ronald Sparks (Deb) of Marquette, Kansas; and his children, Howard Eugene Eng of Sioux City, Iowa, Scott Sparks of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Angie Mae Sparks, Jesse York of Atlantic Beach, Ericka Cole (Dan) of Lawrence, Kansas, Jesica Sparks, Kelvin Brown of Mead, Colorado, Shayna Young (Rob) of Greensburg, Kansas and Hugh Sparks of Oktaha, Oklahoma. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
