He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed McElhaney and Rozie McElhaney (Brice); and his granddaughter Samantha Roze Charles. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Russell McElhaney; his children, Edward L. McElhaney, Jr. (Carolyn) of Hays, Tracey Bansemer of Quinter and Ivy Charles of Quinter; his grandchildren, Christina Ramirez (Jacob) of Quinter, Dawn Seymour of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Andrea Charles, Tanner Charles and Preston Hashenberger of Quinter; his great grandchildren, Breanna Seymour and Isabella Ramirez of Quinter; and his siblings, Martin McElhaney (Betty) of Phoenix, AZ and Martha Russell of Quinter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Ed lost his battle with Covid on October 24, 2020.
