We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2022, at the age of 77, Judith Elizabeth Smith of Protection, Kansas, born in Wellington, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Norman and Elizabeth Anastasia Crowley (Wells); her siblings, Mike Crowley, Tim Crowley and Brigid Hickey; and her daughter-in-law Annie Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Garry G. Smith of Protection, KS; her children, Garry G. Smith, Jr. (Loann) of Lenox, IA, Richard L. Smith (Stephanie) of Hugoton, KS, Jeanette Houghton (Mark) of Protection, KS and Anthony W. "Tony" Smith of Coldwater, KS; her siblings, Karen Coates of Bethany, MO, Steve Crowley (Naomi) of Norwich, CT, Kevin Crowley (Anita) of Wichita Falls, TX, Anastasia Crowley of Dodge City, KS and Sean Crowley (Donna) of Cunningham, KS; and her grandchildren, Toni, Jaqueline, Garry III, Richard, Robert, Samantha, Dustyn, Brooke, Garrett and Eilis. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

“As many years as it has been, I can still see her smile and the kindness in her eyes as if it were yesterday! Since Sunday there has only been one set of footprints 👣 in the sand for her and all of us as the Lord is carrying us all while He guides her home!! To my family, I love all of you, and Aunt Judy, you will always be in my heart and are now another Angel among many, that I know will always be watching over and guiding me in what is left of my journey here. ❤”
