It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith K. (Bolinger) Markel of Pretty Prairie, Kansas, who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Bolinger and Julia Bolinger. She is survived by: her husband Edward Markel; her children, Connie Vogt, Liz Shepherd, Daryl Markel (Lynette) of Pretty Prairie and Aimee Jones (Mike) of Yoder; and her grandchildren, Travis Vogt (Juli), Justin Vogt (Rita), Kacie Herman (Brady), Connor Owen (Cass), Hunter Owen (Wren), Tony Markel (Julie), Andrea Hastings (Cody), Zac Mitchell, Stefanie Markel, Jimmy Mitchell (Tina), Raven Lane (TJ), Josh Jones and Tanner Jones (Makayla). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Ed and Judy Markel Scholarship in care of Pretty Prairie High School or the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church.
