James I. Morrison Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2025, at the age of 94, James I. Morrison of Pretty Prairie, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James I. Morrison to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Morrison and Metta B. Morrison (Blankenship); his spouse Avis I. Goering; and his siblings, Dale, Vern, Ray, Ralph, David, Bob, Wilma Wilkerson, Geneva Poe and Shirley Albright.
He is survived by: his son Dennis (Diane) of Moundridge; his grandchildren, Michelle and Matthew; his son Dwight (Rosario) of Girona; his grandchildren, Jordi Vilahur (Abbie) and Marc Vilahur; his son Daryl (Penny) of Savannah, MO; his grandchildren, Megan Traxler (Aaron), Jordan (Sarah), Logan (Maddie) and Tysan (Hayley); his daughter Denise Welker (Jeff) of Pretty Prairie; his grandchildren, Jenny Knoche (Steven) and Jacob (Tiffany); and his sister-in-law Lee Morrison of Hutchinson. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Mennonite Church (1718 W Pretty Prairie Rd, Pretty Prairie, KS 67570).
