He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Schaefer (Picker); his brother Dave Schaefer; and his grandparents, Stanley, Margaret Picker, Charles Schaefer and Virginia Boyce.
He is survived by: his father Clarence "Butch" Schaefer; his stepmother Debbie Schaefer of Perry, Oklahoma; his sisters, Karen Lukens (Doug) of Pratt and Carla Horyna (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his sister-in-law Cheryl Schaefer of Pratt, Kansas; his stepbrothers, Cliff Crow of McCloud and Richard Crow (Nancy) of Perry, Oklahoma; his nieces and nephews, Skylar Nicole Schaefer, James Horyna (Alisha), Devin Schaefer, Jacob Schaefer, Jayden Felawalen (Jace), Ryan Crow (Garam), Zac Crow, Alex Crow (Kyleigh), Megan Crow and Cliffton Crow; his great-nieces, Alexsia Reilghlynn Horyna, Lenyn Falawalen and Ellie Opal Crow; and his great-nephew Benjamin Crow.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Larrison Mortuary, Ltd. (300 Country Club Rd, Pratt, KS 67124).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Township 12 Fire Department Benefit Fund in care of the mortuary.
